CDC Issues New Mask Guidance for Fully Vaccinated People

The CDC issued new recommendations allowing fully vaccinated people to go without their masks when outdoors unless they are in a crowd of strangers. The CDC still recommends wearing a mask when attending crowded outdoor events like concerts, parades and sporting events. Masks still should be worn in indoor public spaces even if vaccinated.

The CDC considers people fully vaccinated two weeks after the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or two weeks after the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
